Friday night Meet and Greet Updated! The REST of the story, sort of!
The board members and delegates welcomed seasoned AMTA members, and first time attendees to the Courtyard Marriot, Grand Rapids. It’s good to be back on the Western side of the State. It is our intention to bring our annual meeting and educational opportunities to network with fellow massage therapists in and around this area. Great fellowship, great ideas, and great questions were shared by all.
Saturday, breakfast was followed by an outstanding class presented by Pete Pfannerstill, for Kineseotape. Members learned those snazzy Olympic taping techniques, or at least some of them, and the proper application of Prossage with massage strokes prior to taping, plus application of Biofreeze spray for that post-taping zing! Our evening dinner and awards had many guest attired in their finest, with matching tape-jobs that were fit for our camera man! Here’s a good reason to attend next year’s expo, nearly everyone in attendance walked away with a prize, including the top donation of an Upledger class!!! Congratulations, attendees!
Sunday we were treated to an early continental breakfast, followed by Liddle Kidz full day session presented by a young dynamic instructor from California, Ms. Tina Allen, on adopting touch for children with special needs. We had half day sessions presented by Bryan Born, DC, who presented on Sports Massage-Safe Practices for Injury Containdicationd and Pharmaceuticals; or Linda Bowsman, AMTA, RN who taught Ethics for Mature Clients.
It was a wonderful weekend, enjoyed by all, will we see you at our fall event in Gaylord??
Check back with us for daily updates and election results.
